Post Dandelion

Not a single flower in my yard, but hey, I have this beautiful dandelion.

Love the red on the seeds (bit unusual? am used to seeing them brown!) but a less busy background would probably concentrate attention on the seed head even more.

Too bad about no flowers, but this is a nice shot. I agree with daft_biker about the busy background, but at least it is well out of focus.

Yes, that is the reason why I chose f/2.8 and the focus is more on the center but not on the seed head.

The last DandyLion I shot I "found" a pack of colored construction paper near by. Amazing all the different effect colored (and plain) backgrounds can have.

Very nice! Might be interesting to try one focused off-center of the dandelion head (think of the "shiny" part of a 3D smooth sphere).

This is a really cool picture, I think the background works really well. Something magical about it. Personally I'd say worthy of printing large and putting on the wall.
