Cracking find!....or would really put a smile on my face finding a jumping spider (Salticidae) with prey...or even better hunting and catching prey
I like the first couple of pics (2nd one in particular!) but find they look a bit contrasty and over-sharpened?I don't know the proper name for the spider above...is it North American? The most common jumping spider in the UK is a Zebra spider (Salticus scenicus) which I've had the pleasure of photographing a few times...these shots on the PC monitor reminded me of the time I opened my curtains to find one munching a mayfly on my front window. Awesome Andrew!!
I have to share mine now!! I protected a gravid Huntsman spider until after her eggs hatched. I took heaps of pics of her with her newborns. Unfortunately my camera skill and the lack of efficient macro on my camera meant I had to do lots of cropping in hopes that I focused in on the right area... Huntsman I love this shot, she is so placid and patient with her little ones and you will notice she has a baby on her mouth parts
