DIY macro (Canon 18-55 Kit Lens)

Hallo all,
1st wanna say sorry for my bad english :malus . Here i want to share about macro lens that i modify from Lens 18-55 kit. all you need is a nipper, filter & guts.
ok, lets start :

• first look up in front of ur lens, theres a 2 hole in it.
• open it using the nipper ( turn left ??? )
• after it opened, put back on but just 1 or 2 round from the first turn.
• sometimes use filter is better to cover the front lens.
• try to shoot some object now in variance distance.

for the detail, maybe u can go to my blog for the detail. Its in indonesian. but i guess with this may work.

Hi,
Has anyone tried this? I actually am having problems trying to understand the steps, I'm really very interested on this DIY as I would like to do macro and I don't have the budget for a new macro lens.
