Macro Tips

Hello, This is my first time ever to post a thread. So bear with me.
I am very interested in Macro photography and would like to know more about it,such as,when you set your camera on macro mode,can you use the zoom too.I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ50,it's a point and shoot,but I can shoot manual and can use a teleconverter lens,macro lens and wide angle lens.
Right now I just shoot in the macro mode.I hope to start sending in some photo's to be critiqued soon.I am going to school and taking a photography course at A.U.M.(Auburn).I love looking at everyone's photo's. Helpful critiquing is wonderful. Well,hope to hear something soon. Ladybug fr Alabama....

I used to have a Panasonic FZ-30. It's a great camera and I had lots of fun with it.
