Default Big drop & little drops

It rained a bit this morning, and I went out to the rose bush to look at the drops on the leaves, a subject I always like. I took some shots of the big drop, and only when looking at the shots on the screen I noticed the very small ones on the tiny thorns on the leaf border. I went out to try focusing properly on them but they had already dried out.

a new meaning to not letting the big things in life make you overlook the small and beautiful ones

Am I seeing a tiny insect at the edge of the large raindrop? My eyes are not the best but it sure looks like one having a drink!
So true about getting something you were not expecting in the shot!

i like the second crop better nice details. However I feel that big droplet on bottom third is out of focus and is distracting. IMO more close-up and eliminating that big droplet would be more appealing.

I much prefer the second crop. I like the big drop in the picture. It gives the composition some character. I love how you caught those little drops just sitting on the edges like that...good job!

I love all the little droplets lined up on the top of the prickly leaves--great catch! I do prefer the second shot .

Yes, I like the second shot too! It has such interesting texture, it could almost be mistaken for a big fat green caterpillar!
