Default kenko extension tubes?

I would like to buy extension tubes for my macro lens. I would like to get closer to the subject...
Based on my research, the Kenko extension tubes seem to be the best ones (quality/price). Do know any alternatives? I would like to keep the communication between the camera and the lens... What are you thoughts?

Well, there's the Pro Optic tubes, which are less than the Kenko set.

POAETEOS Pro Optic Auto Extension Tube Set for Canon EOS

Someone in another thread is saying that the bargain all-plastic Pro Optics are throwing back errors on him, but these $75 ones still have metal mounts. The Kenkos are still better build quality, though.

You can find even chaeaper sets on eBay, but these typically lack any electrical contacts so the lens can still communicate with the body. Losing autofocus usually isn't that big a deal with macro photography, but losing aperture control can be a serious pain.

You get what you pay for, I have had the Kenko three set for several years and have not had a bit of trouble with them. I have used them on everything from a 50mm f1.8, a 150mm macro to the Canon MP-E 65.
