Default Small Spider

Found this colorful little spider in my yard.
Had to shoot it in the shadow, with some wind, but i think i got a usable shot.
Any advice on how to cope with wind appreciated.

With a good tripod support, this idea may be adapted to your need. Side mounting, instead of bottom, and with the bottom cut out, you could place this under a web and have relative protection from wind.

Cool idea, but the spider is on a web. Don't think i would get the bucket around him.
Oh and i did use a tripod, with timer release.
:-)

The tripod is for the bucket support. At best, you could gain a little gust protection. If you cut top of bucket at a slant, and place highest edge toward wind, that could give some directional protection.

Nice shot!

I know for a fact, shooting a spider on its web can be difficult at times. Especially if there is wind, a tripod would be of little use.

Tunedout,

Did you look at the links? The bucket shields from the wind, the tripod holds the bucket, separate from the camera tripod.

lol, no I did not check out the link. If the point is to block the wind, then that bucket is too small.
