Default I'm looking feedback for Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/3.5G ED VR

I'm looking to buy a micro lens, I see the Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/3.5G ED VR looks interesting. I just some time want to use it the take portrait picture too

What do you think about it? Should I go for it?

Not familiar with that beast, I have a Nikon 105 f/2.8 Micro AF-S VR that is a great lens, I would think this one would be good too. I see it is a DX lens, so just be aware of that if you plan to upgrade to full frame.

Thanks Kirbinster,

Yes, you are aright about the DX lens that I might want to upgrade to D700 full frame at the end of this year. I might look to 105 f/2.8 as you mention.

thanks again for remind me about this.

I prefer Nikon 105 f/2.8 Micro AF-S VR and I think that is a great lens.
