Default Macro Photography-Pincushion Flower

I took this picture at a nursury. I loved the center of this flower. It reminded me of a sea anenome. I used the macro setting on my camera.

Flickr photo sharing is FREE from yahoo .com. If you decide to use it, the "Medium" size is usually the correct choice for this site. Viewers can still link back to the larger image on your Flickr account, simply by clicking on your image. Nicole as well as several other moderators and members have written up "Sticky" posts to walk members through the uploading process. These posts are easy to follow and there are some for other photo sharing sites as well. I hope you find a program that serves your needs. Thank you for posting. Please feel free to upload the larger images (up to 600 pixels on the longest side) once you've chosen the program you want. Judging from the thumbprint, it looks like you have a very detailed image here. I can't wait to see it larger. Thanks.

Default Vogue: Ghetto lighting

I took this pic of my daughter in her bedroom, next to her wall ( it is burgundy in color). She was standing next to her mantle and I sat a candle on the mantle and she held a small candle under her face. ( out of site of the camera's lens). This is the only lighting I used. The overhead light in her room was turned off. she was actually wearing an old top hat but you can't tell because of the cropping. I turned it to black and white to make her skin more radiant.

Nikon coolpix L4, portrait setting, exposure 1.7 and 2 candles, 1 tapered and 1 votive

Default tried the medium size

I tried downloading the medium size from flikr but this forum said it was too big. However, I was able to get another pic on here that was medium size and I'm not sure why one was ok and the other was not.

well actually what you do is when you are in flickr click on the picture you want then click all sizes along the top above the photo, next you will see available sizes. select a size pref medium, scroll down a little and you will see two options copy the code number one shows. come back here to the forum then paste that into this box. select preview post and you will should see the picture. i hope this helps i can do screenies of the process if need be. you picture should appear like below.

Default macro photography

I took this pic of this flower with a fuzzy visitor. I would have liked it be sharper.
