Default AV vs. Macro

I have a T1i 500 and a Powershot SX110IS. Everytime when I try to take a photo inside the restaurant, the photo turns out to be either yellow or red when I use the Macro. But, if I used AV, TV or Manual other than macro, the color just turn out to be fine. I did set my setting to Tungent or Fluorecent. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks.

When you say you set your camera to Tungsten or Fluorescent, was this when you were shooting in AV, TV, or M mode? Can you / did you change the white balance in Macro mode? I have a feeling that you might not be able to change it in the macro mode (not certain, but reasonably sure), and because of that, the white balance is being set to auto and it's giving you the really warm tones.
