Default Photographing Fish

What's the best way to photograph fish in fresh water tank?

Put the lens against the fish tank and wrap a dark pullover or something like around the lens to prevent light getting in between the lens and the glass tank causing reflections.

Thanks. Doesn't work well with Acrylic tanks and fast moving Glo fish though!
