Interesting, but I find the background color distracting. Its out of focus, yet the color of the background is too similar to the subject. Perhaps if you could make the background darker the subject would pop. Also the small amount of "frozen H2O" in the lower right detracts. Might want to try to apply rule of thirds too, as the subject is just there in the center of the frame. I do like the concept.

Kirbster what do you mean by the background is out of focus? I guess i was trying to create dof and leave the background out of focus, maybe I failed huh.
I'll try to darken the background up abit and see what that does

You say TOE MAY TOE while I say TAH MAH TOE. What is depth of Field - yup basically you intentionally make part of the picture out of focus. So, we are saying the same thing, I did not mean it as a negative.

I like it with the darker background.

I like the second version better. The subject does stand out more. However, it looks cramped in the square framing. Anyway to have more space to the right? Or is there something there that would be better not seen?

Half the photos I've taken are just about the same as this. I find it a handsome way to present small single objects (especially the diagonal), and my customers have shown they agree. Different opinions are good for creativity, and then you go do what suits you.
