Default Rain Flower

This was taken just after the rain. I know the background is right, but I am working on one item at a time. Just learning how to use macro is keeping me busy. It appears somewhat fuzzy too, I guess.

maz2001,

That's a good start. Think about, and look around DPS for, information about how to get a shallower depth of field. The background is a little bright and patterned for the paler subject to stand out.

if the background is busy, try what was suggested above and use a shallower depth of field to blur out everything but what you want in focus. it looks like a crop of a photo? if you want to capture more detail then try using a higher resolution setting then that way if you crop you won't lose too much of the detail.
