Default Tree Frog [not in a tree]

Here's two pictures of a tree frog at my parents place in France. They were taken with a Canon G7. I think, but not sure (what I am talking about) that the front on one could have been better if I had increased the depth of field... can you help?

Frog - 10 DSP

and

Frog - 08 DSP

Cheers,

M

Two is much better than one in terms of lighting but the first shows more character i think. If you have a program that lets you clone I'd try and throwing the left part of the background on top of the right and getting rid of all the blown out areas....
Good focus in both....
MAybe get rid of that line coming off the back right leg too in the first one.

Hi,

Thanks for the comments, i'll give that a go tonight or tomorrow night. Sometimes pointing out what should be obvious, like the top righthand corner is required! I think I need to start a list of things to look out for and tick them off as I tend, for some reason on my own photos, to miss things like that.

Cheers,

M

I think we all do that from time to time.
I tend to focus on my subject or what I am trying to fix and dont see the more obvious
problems or mistakes.
My biggest thing is getting something in the shot I didnt see through the view finder!
