I took this one from a french dictionary and I wanted to know what you think about it, is that the best way to make the word pop out? thanks!

It's a very nice photo. No complaints about the way you did it.

The heavy vignette, though, might not appeal to everyone.

Have you tried to isolate the word "amour" by using a very shallow depth of field, and maybe by putting the word in the upper left hand section of the frame? I don't know if doing so would look any better than what you did, but it might be worth a try?

The vertical black line on the page bothers me a bit, and I can't figure out how to work that into the photo, other than to move "amour" to the upper left of the frame.

You could also try blurring the page around the word in post-processing.
