Exclamation Water Drops

Here are my first and second water drop photos. My first one has a white background, and my second one was taken in a bowl with a red background in my homemade softbox.

Could you tell us about the camera and settings used? Also, have you got any question that is more specific than "do you like it"? If not, you could post your photo in "Share Your Shots", where you can accompany it with up to four other attached images (and don't need to give the extra information about the camera, etc).

Question just to clarify

I was just wondering for my future post. I have seen a lot while looking through the critique section that most are getting asked for the exif data. In the rules it says that it is optional. I would like to know if it is required since everyone who does not post it is being asked for it before any critique is given. If it is required I think the rules should be changed. Thanks in advance for clarifying this.

It says "please include if possible", which is a bit stronger than optional since AFAIK pretty much every digital camera records information about the settings used. The reason is that there are certain core bits of information which have a big impact on the results. For example, a photo from an iPhone will be judged a bit differently from the result of a top of the range DSLR. An edited picture might evoke different comments to one straight out of the camera. If you have no idea even about what camera you used, what are you going to gain by asking for critique?

Therefore, since by asking for critique, someone is asking others to spend their time, we ask that the original poster first demonstrates their readiness to learn, which also helps answer a lot of the routine questions that might come up.
