![]() Nikon D40 155 mm f/5.6 ISO 200 1/200s I would love to hear everyones thoughts on this, particularly with regards to the background. I thought the two-toned color added another dimension to the picture as opposed to a solid black background. Is it too much though with the spider and the web? Any other comments on the photo are welcome too

I like the two tone background JKJD, the colours reflect the colours in the spider itself - a great choice.
I wondered if you might be able to recompose the shot to put the spider against the lighter half of the background and more of the web against the black?

The white part of the background is actually a door frame. This guy was hanging around right outside my front door. I can try to play with the colors a bit more though. Actually I think he is still out there. I can just retake the shot from a different angle
