Sorry for the double move there, I'd intended to move this to the macro critique section for you and accidentally put it in the technique section Also added your EXIF per the critique rules

Anyway... I think that you did well getting the snow bright enough, but the background seems quite busy to me which I think is because of the snow and the leaves so while it's out of focus there's quite a bit of contrasting colours / brightness back there. The other thing I would say is that if you weren't trying to get all of the bud in the upper right corner in the shot then I would crop out what's there and maybe try cropping it down to more of a landscape orientation. That said, to answer your question I do like the angle of the lighting, it's created some nice shadows and depth and the water droplets are highlighted nicely.
