Default Drowned Rose

Question

I wanted to take a picture of a rose with water on it. I could not get the right amount. Do you think this rose has to much water on it? I think it looks like it has been drowned. My friends say it looks fine. I don't want to look fine, I want to look perfect.
Camera: Olympus E-500
Exposure: 0.006 sec (1/160)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 277 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Auto, Fired
