Default Abstract Petals

P1101995

Any advise is welcome.

I am just getting started with macros. While the flowers are real beautiful I love the absract photos. I just received my 70-300 lens and close up filters and was playing around. I have a friend that saw these shots and wants to do a group of 6 on her wall over her bed. Some have yelllow and other have green in them. I know it is not great but the colors are so pretty.

E-volt 500
70-300 lens with macaro close up filters

Hi dock39145 and welcome to DPS. I hope you enjoy it here. I can see why your freind would like a set for the bedroom. So tranquil. I would be interested to see what some of the experts say, as I want to learn more about macro myself, and when I see a shot like this I am inspired. Thanks, and God bless for now. PAUL

It is indeed quite beautiful. Very soft anfd delicate. In my humble opinion tho the front petals might show a little better if they were a tiny bit brighter. See how your eye automatically goes straight for the brighter areas? They should be directed towrds the focal point of your image. Which I would assume the petals in the front.
What program are you using for your processing?

First let me thank you for being so kind. I see what you are talking about having the front petals lighter. That makes perfect since now that you have said it.

I don't have a program. I uploaded this right out of the camera. I can't afford to much right now so I really need to concentrate of more bang for the buck. Purchasing the right program is one of the things I am trying to learn about on the website.

Well, you have a wonderful camera so that helps! (I use Olympus cameras) We have quite a few members who use GIMP. A totally FREE processing program that from what i have seen does pretty darn well. Try googling it and see what you come up with
