Default Barbed Wire

here is a macro shot of some barbed wire on the roof of my house that i've been trying to photograph for a couple of weeks now. I've taken many many photos and i'm sure that there's a good picture in it, i just can't seem to get the composition just right.
I think that this is the best one i've taken so far and i thought i would ask you guys what you think to the composition since maybe i've just been staring at too many pictures of a piece of barbed wire for too long.
I know the focusing isn't perfect so i'm just asking for opinions on the composition this time and any other comments on exposure etc anyone has.

It is totally unedited

i would try get the stone blocks out from behind the focused barb.

Maybe more of an angle to the line of wire - like going more from bottom left to top right. Experiment a bit with that?

Agreed, the focus would be significantly crisper (and more dynamic) against the blue sky.

I like the photo. I think it will have a totally different character if it is black and white.

bit of a bump but I hope you don't mind!

I've belatedly converted it to b&w but i'm not sure if it's actually an improvement! Once again any opinions would be appreciated

barbed wire b&w
