EW! Ok... now that I got that out - I would up your exposure. Open your AP some or slow down your SS. Just let a bit more light in. You can also brighten in Photoshop if needs be.

You do have clarity - so great job! I can't believe how close you are!!! I would be on the other side of the room!

Wow, what kind of spider is that anyway? Yes, it's underexposed, but cudos to you for getting that close.

The spider in this photo is a Huntsman its upside down on the ceiling. Just behind the fan.
Its late at night and the family and i are watching NCIS. when one of the kids scream and
point to the roof then everyone runs out of the room screaming.
I have had my Camera for about four days and was greatful for the chance to use it.
I Had to stand on a kitchen chair to get up high enough to get this shot and at least it
hasent got redeye :-)
I have cpopped the ceiling fan out of the picture and done a vertical flip to make the spider
look like its the right way up.
I like this picture because i feel like ive actually taken a photo of someting, instead of having
something in one of my photos .... if this makes any sense at all.

I still have shivers, and I am way down on this string! There is something that is truly scary about this spider.... not sure why it evokes such a strong fear factor (and yes, I am terribly spooked by spiders) but perhaps there is something to the way it is sitting and framed that makes it look "real" and not like a "beautiful" macro shot that we often see. The effect is quite startling!
