Default a dragonfly

Hi,
I would like your comments on composition and editing.....

dragonfly red

Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 200 mm
Exposure: 0.00
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

nice exposure on a beautiful creature......he's placed well enough in the frame to suit my eye.....

as far as the editing goes, i can't really say without you telling me about your workflow.....

so spill.....

In fact I'm not that good in PS but just got something called DAve Hill action that would make the shot more 3D.... this how my shot looked originally

the action consisted of using high pass filter

it's an interesting effect and it definitely toned down the brightness of the twig......i looked at a larger size on your flickr because it felt a little too sharp.....but there it seemed fine.....i hate that you lost a little of the dragonfly's coloring in the process......although, had i not seen the original, i would have never known.....

I think it's a great shot. These little guys are hard to photograph, and you captured him in a position. I like the composition, with him right in the middle and the stick coming in on an angle. I think it's a good use of empty space, too.

Agreed. The crispness of those wings is outstanding. Tripod or handheld?
