Default Fluff caught in web

This is my first attempt at posting and I look forward to any feedback. This was mainly an exercise in technical expertise... focus, exposure, etc. I really want to improve and be able to do first rate macro work. The composition just happened to be nearby, and was a good steady subject to work on. It was done with ISO 400, 1/40, f/20, with a 70-300 canon zoom on 255mm.

Thanks to anyone to help me get started with this process!

Be sure to pay attention to the lighting. The sharp shadow is very distracting to this image and pretty much made the bottom part of the web disapear
If I remember right (attachmnets dont show up when replying) the image was a bit blurry. Your F stop looks about right so am wondering if it was windy or this was hand held?

Indeed it was breezy... I did use a tripod, but apparently it did not overcome the moving subject. Crisp focus is indeed the gold standard I am searching for...

And can you tell me how to post a shot so it is not an attachment? I couldn't find any other option.

have you given any thought to sites such as Flickr or Photobucket? they give you the html code you'll need to post an image

Thanks Windrider, I will try. I think Picasa (which I use) has the same function...
