Default Crispier tomatoes

100_0761
.
Camera - Kodak Z915
Shutter Speed - 1/3 sec
F.number - F/3.4
ISO - 100
Flash - Not used
.
My debut picture!!
The image is not as sharp/crisp as it was appearing in my Camera LCD? Although I used ISO 100, there were noises in the picture (specially around the tomatoes)....Would appreciate if anyone can advise how to improve the sharpness of the picture?
.
cheers..

Hi ratnendu, and welcome to DPS.

I'm not familiar with your camera, and cannot speak to why there'd be noise at ISO 100; however, the sharpness issue is, no doubt, related to your shutter speed. Did you use a tripod? 1/3 of a second is pretty slow, especially hand-held, but even on a tripod, just pushing the button can create enough motion to cause blur.

If I have to shoot slower than 1/25 or 1/50, I prefer to use a tripod, and even then I use the 2 sec timer to ensure my tripod is steadied by the time the shutter opens.

Nice colorful image, though!

Hi Sandeewig

thanks a ton for your feedback.

I did not use any tripod and the picture was taken in Aperture mode. Hence the shutter speed was auto selected by the camera. However, I will retake the picture with a higher shutter speed and advise you...(Subject to availability of tomatoes at my place of course..)
.
cheers
