Default Point & shoot macros

I don't know exactly why but I've been taking macro shots with my Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS. The camera has been great for on the go shots but I've found myself taking more and more macro photography with that camera.

I've created a set for my macro photography on Flickr. The photo I want critiqued is below. bonus points - I'd love some comments on my Flickr photos just because

I like your overall shot, but I'm not crazy about the leg/shorts/fingers combo. Great DOF though and the blue/yellow works nicely. What is the "thread" running on the lower right portion of your flower? It looks like mono-filament fishing line or confetti grass... I'd like the picture much better without that
