Default Wine Glass

I had some neat light coming through the blinds this morning and searched for something to shoot. Since wine is my other passion I worked on shooting a glass of wine. This was the best of what I shot. Can you tell me if the lighting looks OK and should I get rid of the bright reflections on the base of the glass. I didn't do much PP except to remove some dust spots on the glass.

Thanks in advance for your comments. I'm trying to be more creative with my macro lens and it's too hot to be outside shooting bugs right now!

Fbroschart,
Macro is one of the most difficult types of photography to "get." I know it still gets me all the time, I shoot and shoot, thinking I got some great stuff, get home, download and am disappointed.

ANYWAY, I really like the lighting, it sets a very cool tone, subliminally. IMO, I find the top part of the wine distracting as it is OOF. The reflected light at the bottom is in focus but because the DOF is so shallow on macro the top, or far side, of the wine is OOF. And because the far side of the wine is brighter than the near side, my eye is drawn to that first, expecting to see something in focus.

Thanks for your input, I probably should switch to my normal lens and try and shoot this again. Your input was really helpful and appreciated!
