Default Mums the word

I don't think this is truley a macro shot, more like a close up. Mods if this in the wrong section please move.
I'm looking to see if this crop works?
Secondly is the photo to dark?

The only thing I don't like about the photo is how dark it is.

Was there a specific reason for your exposure bias being set to -2 EV? I would try setting that back to 0 EV to see what kind of results you get.

Or, you could just try adjusting it in post-processing. Here is what I did quickly. I just applied a new brightness/contrast layer and bumped the brightness up to +50. See attached. I hope you don't mind. If you want me to remove the edited picture, let me know - no problem at all!

Nice capture!

Thanks for the response. I was thinking it was dark as well. I had set the EV to -2.0 when i had taken a shot in the bright sun and forgot to change it. Still working on thinking about all those things and not just sitting in auto.

Aside from the darkness...a really nice photo, feels very rich.

Default Nice

Good composition, I like how flower's slightly off-centre. Like everyone else, i think it's a bit too dark, but it's a good level of detail
