Default Water drop improvements

Hi guys,

This is my first experiment with water drops. I'm very interested in hearing comments on how to improve this type of photo. Maybe a litle bit more DOF? Different shooting angles?

Many thanks for any honest feedback you may offer,
Bruno

bmjesus, if this is only your first experiment I am eagerly awaiting your further experiments! That is one beautiful water drop shot. Maybe a slightly faster shutter speed would have made this even better, as the droplets around the top are a litle blurred. I am actually wondering whether that motion blur is better as it looks now, I can't decide. That generally means this is a good one. Really looking forward to seeing more of your work.

In my opinion your composition is well balanced, you have the main area focused and the bluring of droplets around the outside eludes to the movement of the action. I love it!

For a first attempt this is extremely good, for that matter even if was your 100th attempt it is extremely good. Might recommend a little fast shutter to ensure the water droplets away from the main splash are crisp but this is a very minor issue.
