Yes I am positive it was f/16. The thing is I had a macro filter on to allow me to get closer and still focus. This obviously made the DOF shallow. Thank you for the idea and I may try it again without the macro filter. Also, the lowest my ISO goes is 200. Thank you for replying.

It's a small thing, but I think I would have turned the 1st white pawn so that the seam from the mold didn't show on the right side. Interesting concept.

How would this look as an actual chess match. Maybe set it up in a little bit more realistic fashion. Mixing the white and black colors. Just an idea. I like the concept but the lighting from the right seems to overwhelm the white pawns. Really cool idea...keep working with it!
