Do you think the back ground ruins the photo? Is it light enough?

I think background is neutral enough not to 'ruin' the photo, but you could always carry a piece of light-blue paper to put behind objects when doing macro if you want that...

Anyway, this kind of background has it's own story (rose vs wall, nature vs concrete, ...)
