Default A drop of pearl

Hi,

I took this photo after a lot of unsuccessful attempts at macro and wanted to know if this has come out right?

Have shot this using the SUPER MACRO mode of the SX10 so did not really have too much control over the aperture settings.

I've framed the drop right in the center, and not am wondering whether following the rule of third would've been better?

Also, i'm a little disappointed that not much of the tendril form this this drop is hanging can be seen but that could be cuz i shot this image almost from underneath and then inverted ( no other PP ).

Would it also have been better if more of the tendril would've been in focus?

Any other comments would be very welcome as i'm very new to MACRO photography.

A drop of pearl

EXIF INFO :

Camera: Canon PowerShot SX10 IS
Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 5 mm
ISO Speed: 80

Cheers,

Harsh

I personally think the shot would look better if it was turned the proper way so the drop was coming down like it should be. Maybe crop it tighter to have it more in focus? I like the colors. But I am new to this too so you can ignore me. lol
