Not sure if this is the correct place to put it, but it's close enough to be 'macro'?
![]() Camera: Canon EOS 450D Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60) Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 55 mm ISO Speed: 400 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: On, Fired White Balance: Tungsten Color Temperature: 5200 You can already see in bold what I did wrong, obviously I shouldn't have used flash, but I still want to know what else I could have done to fix it/or make it better Also have a cropped version here |

I like the cropped version better. Since your subject is the label I would crop it even more. I find it very distracting to see all that solid black on the left and bright plain grey on the right.

I agree with cropping it more. I probably would have tried a different angle or not placed the label exactly center in your frame. It would give it a little more visual interest. I love wine and have a few photos of my favorite bottles taken from a low angle (camera below table level looking up at the label) and then also I've placed a wine glass (filled with liquid to get condensation on the glass) in front and behind of the bottle playing with depth of field. It adds a little more interest than just the label itself. Long live delicious wine and happy shooting! I love the subject!
