Default Ready to sting!

Hi guys - I took this on a very sunny day so I would appreciate if you could share your thoughts on lighting, but also on composition - does it bother you that you can't really see to much of the second branch? Thank you!

I would like to see it brighter. Other than that I think you are dead on.

Compositionally, I like it. But, I do agree with castman that it should be a little brighter. The shadows are a little overpowering, creating too much of a contrast, in my opinion. Maybe you could do a little post-processing to lighten up the dark areas...?

Just my thoughts. Nice capture, though!

Thanks for commenting castman and natek313. I've brightened it up a little but I think it changes the mood of the photo drastically. Please let me know what you think. Here it goes.

Hmm. Now that I'm seeing both, I do like both of them. I guess it just all depends on what you were going for.

Good job!

The second version is better than the first, I agree. You have an interesting subject there. Nice job on the composition.

Cheers!

Brighter makes it look much better. If you would have used a reflector when you shot this it could have put more light into those shadow areas. I like the composition.
