'm a super newbie here. New as in, I didn't know what aperture, shutter speed means yesterday. (now i have a better grasp!)
Okay, I know that point and shoot camera's are not good for shallow depth of field picture, but getting a SRL will be way over my head and I'll just ended up being very frustrated with it. I am trying to take some photo with shallow depth of field but it doesn't seem like it's working. In AV mode, I'm suppose to be able to get the AF to F2.8, but sometimes, it will not let me go further and stop at 4. Why is that? Also, sometimes I would specify the ISO to 200 instead of letting it to it automatically, but on my display, it will say ISO 800 , I don't want alot of noise, so I'm trying to make the ISO lower, but it won't let me.. I'm so confused. Camera: Canon G9 Aperture: F2.6 music (it won't let me go down to 2.6) ISO 100 (I set it to 100, but I think on one or both of these pic, on my display it says ISO800!!??) I forgot the other numbers, next time I'll write them down sorryDid i do something wrong? How can i improve? Last edited by jiminyClickit; 05-19-2009 at 11:53 AM.
