Default I spilled my beans

I spilled the beans

Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Aperture: f/4,5
ShutterSpeed: ⅙ sec
ISO: 100
Lens: EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

I'm not sure, but I feel it's missing something. What do you think. Is it lack of contrast of the cup with the background or the use of DOF.

A white cup in front of a white background won't give you much contrast but I think you did a good job with this shot, good composition and good use of the depth of field. If I were setting up this shot I would have used a blue background.

I don't know what you would want to add there but it feels like something is missing in the top left corner. Although that may just be caused by the lack of contrast between the rim and the background.

you might want to add a coffee machine to that empty space referred to in the previous post.

just a thought.

I think it needs a little more balance, more coffee bean spillage to the left of the cup. The cup seems a little too centered to me, but otherwise it's a nice shot, I like the white on white. Good job!!

yes...something is missing, your cup is blending and i think maybe an edge would play nice in the picture
