Default My first post

I would be grateful for any feedback on this shot I took. I used a Magnifying lens in front of my point and shoot to get closer. I think it's just a bit dark.

I agree it's a bit too dark and unevenly lit. You really need light to make the colors pop.
But cool attempt at something different from your point and shoot!

Actually, I think the fact that it is a bit dark makes it effective, a little creepy. It depends on what you're going for. If you want a cheery photo that's more along the lines of an advertisement for colored pencils, then, yes, it needs to pop and be brighter. But if you wanted "atmosphere," then this works just fine for me. And what a great idea for your p&s.
