born2fireup, Welcome

We try to keep the Critique available to everyone and to ensure a Critique, we limit the posting to one photo per thread, one thread per day. That way, everyone can have at least one Critique a day, and Critiquers are able to keep up with the posts. Here's all the information:

The one change I would try for the first Macro is to shoot the stamen against a darker background. The white-on-white is lessening the contrast and impact of the fine sharp focus.

Perhaps cropping to reduce the amount of background. I might increase the saturation of the yellows, particularly.

I would consider going to f/5.6 next time you take an image like this, which would give you a little more depth of field and bring more of the flower into focus. I usually start at f/5.6 on macro shots and then go up or down depending on what I want the DOF to be.
