Default Pink Trumpets

http://Foxglove

This foxglove has been eyeing me up and asking to have it's picture taken for about a week now. Unfortunately, on a nice sunny day the wind was high, so I wasn't able to get the shot I wanted. However, I am pleased with this result and wondered what others thought of it. Have I cropped it ok, is the petal in the bottom of the frame too out of focus to distract?

1/250 second
F4.5
Max aperture value F2.8
ISO 100
Focal length 100mm

Hi janef:
I like the picture! The DOF is great and the crop you have it's pretty good. Detail is also good. You have just some part of the main subject a little bit over exposed but it does not bother me that much.
Thanks for sharing it. Try using a polarizer filter next time.

Thanks for the input. A ploarizing filter - what will that do and how will it affect/enhance the shot?
