Default Creating Interest out of Plain Items

Raided the cupboards last night for something to shoot and post for this weeks assignment - Repetition and Patterns in Nature. New to this so no special lighting... only had two flexible-head reading spotlights and a househouse freestanding 150W uplighter.

I know the subjects aren't that awe inspiring but was aching to try out the macro tubes with the new lens )

Used an aperture of f32 to make sure everything was in focus - even the reflection on tomatoes.

I would be grateful to receive any advice, particularly on the composition, exposure and saturation/vibrance.
