Default Land Coral

I took this of some mushroom at a local park...my goal that day was to experiment with longer exposures, not using any flash and having a higher F Stop. This was shot:

Nikon D60
F Stop: 32
Flash: No
Speed: 2 sec
Focal: 48 mm
ISO 800

Photobucket

My goal with the higher f stop and slower speed was to keep the fore ground and back ground in focus and retain the variety of colors. Newby photographer....so would appreciate thoughts on the use of the higher f stop.

Thank you!
Steve

Surely you'll get no benefit in DOF from going beyond F16? You're just introducing other unwanted things like noise from long exposure/high ISO.
You've got a clear subject? Focus on it & remove the clutter of the random trees by using a small DOF!
