Default My First Super Macro Shot

I'm very new to photography and for Christmas got a Olympus SP-610UZ and today decided to go out and take my first pictures. I personally feel this Super Macro shot is the best in my bunch today, however as i'm new i know it be hard for me to get better. So please give me any tips, and any recommendations for tutorials etc would be greatly appreciated too.

I am also using Blipfoto to post my favourite photos that i take.

Welcome to the forum! While your camera may call this the super macro setting, I wouldn't consider the shot itself to be a macro. Look around on the Share Your Shots forum at the macros there and you will see what I mean.

As for the shot as it is, I would read up on the rule of thirds as far as composition goes and try some different angles when you are out shooting, keeping the background in mind. Have fun and good luck!
