Asking for your help on cropping and color

Hi folks,

hope you can help me with this image:



EXIF:
Camera Canon EOS 7D
Exposure 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture f/2.8
Focal Length 100 mm
ISO Speed 1600
Exposure Bias 0 EV

Shot out of hand.

Questions:
- Would you crop at all (this is about 98% of the original due to straightening)? Currently, the eye of the triangle is slightly off-center. Would you go with a square crop?
- Would you treat colours differently? Currently, red and orange hue are both at -10, saturation of red is at +10. Tone curve adjustments: Lights -72, Darks -25.
- Would you pronounce the edges of the object through a Graduated Filter? Any advice here to not make it look overdone? Played a bit but wasn't happy.
- Did I oversharpen (amount: 53, radius: 1.5, radius: 35) ?
- Any comment on the noise reduction?
- Anything else you would adjust?

Maybe you want to guess what it is . Personally, I was intrigued by the contrast of
- different green and pink hues
- the strong geometric form of triangles vs. the outer edge / the random pattern of spots
