First try at a macro shot!

So I visited the botanical gardens today in an attempt to entertain the kids I babysit I took this shot. Not sure if you can even classify this as a macro? Probably just a close up! Anyways in my edit I added just a tint of red and some saturation! Too much? And also, did I place the flower to far to the upper right? Or would it be better if I cropped some of the bottom out?

It's a neat "close up". Nice colors, maybe a little too much dead space in the off corner.
