Default Busy Bee

Hi just need you honest opinion here.

This shot was done in a local garden park and this was probably my best shot of the bee (bloody thing wouldn't keep still!)

Is this image a little too saturated? The original was quite dull and lifeless but i have the feeling i went a little too overboard on the colour.

I cropped the picture to make the subject more interesting (standard 1/3 rule) anything else composition wise i could have improved upon it?

Note i stumbled across a professional image on this site last night that was almost like for like with this shot This is a freaky coincidence and i wasn't trying to steal your idea!

Cheers in advance

PS: This is my first ever DSLR i bought in August

With a moving subject like a bee you need a much faster shutter speed to stop motion. I would try from 640 to 1000 -- adjust the aperture and ISO accordingly ... also shooting continuous AI servo or the equivalent on SONY gives you a better chance of ending up with a sharp picture ...
