bumble bee wings

I shot this of course, trying to get the whole bee in focus, but only ended up with the wings in focus. I actually like the intricacy of the wings against the out of focus body. Do you guys feels the same way or is it off-putting?

I actually love it the way it is with only the wings in focus. It's a shame however that some of the anthers of the plant it was on were also in focus. If they were out of focus this would be a really great photo.

I think having just the wings in focus is really neat! It really draws your attention to them. I say, great job!! Bravo!

I also agree with nmajmani, if the stems of the flower weren't in focus, it would be even better. Actually, you can blur them out in PP. It may take awhile, but it would be worth it. I tried it here for you to see. I used http://www.picnik.com/ for this. I used the 'Soften' effect, and softened just the flower stems. This is just a quick edit to give you an idea of what you could do.
