Camera Model Canon EOS REBEL T3i
Shooting Date/Time 10/10/2011 6:17:52 PM Shooting Mode Manual Exposure Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/25 Av( Aperture Value ) 5.0 Metering Mode Evaluative Metering ISO Speed 400 Auto ISO Speed OFF Lens EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Focal Length 35.0 mm I am but a week old, exactly today, to photography. Don't know how this shot could be improved. Perhaps there should be more shadows and lights... Also don't know how to edit photos at the computer. Any advice in regards to that would be great! Thanks for the reply.
I have a technical question: all my shots are coming out a little dark, like this one. Is it a matter of exposure, or aperture, or could it be a combination of both? Could it be some setting in my camera that needs adjusting? I have been using manual mode for all the pictures I have been taking... |

![]() Keep at it. This site has a wealth of knowledge in the tutorial section. You can start with this..Exposure (1) A balancing act. I spent many hours pouring over all I could find about the exposure triangle before moving on to the elements of composition, Rule of Thirds...yadda, yadda. I highly reccomend you put in the time and effort to read through all you can find about the basics. The learning curve will become less steep.
