Here is my b&w picture of a dandelion before it let all its seeds go.

Do you think this is too dark? 3. Are you able to tell what it is if you didn't see the title? 2. Any over all advice? I know this is very vague question but I started doing more macro with my zoom lens before I buy a macro lens. Thank you in advance for all your advice. I am still debating if I want a telephoto lens or a macro lens. So hopefully I can find out which type of photography I want to get into more.

The exposure looks OK.
I can tell what it is. I feel the composition is a bit centred.

Nothing looks in focus to me -- the whites seem blown out and the rest really dark. Something like this would benefit from some better lighting conditions ...
