I kind of like it... it reminds me of a Mandelbrot drawing.... I am not sure what it is a picture of exactly, but would it be possible to get some more contrast on the edges? In particular the Orange one has some interesting sub bubbles to it that are hard to see.

I will try to get a similar shot this weekend with a bit more DoF as this was shot as shallow as I could get; unfortunately these are all one off shots, oil floating in water with a colorful backdrop, and the oil tends to recombine during the shoot; if you wait too long dust gets in there and you have to toss it and start new to get a fresh clean subject.
