Not bad. Pinks & reds can be tricky to expose for properly, and these look decent. Lots of color saturation, decent sharpness, and good DOF for a compact camera.
I think the area to concentrate on is composition. Flowers make great still-life and/or macro subjects, but because of that, lots of people have taken this same photo. Your challenge is to make us see the flowers in a way we've never looked at them. Here's a list of "flower" photos - take a look at which of these jump out at you, or which are highly-rated. Some of these stand out because they're technically amazing -- really great cameras, lenses, lighting, and so on, but none of them succeed without good composition. Tell us a story. Lead our eyes to something. Shoot from an unusual angle. Put something in the photo that makes us have to take another look, you know? |

Thanks for the advice :-) I hope to find some more flowers to photograph soon - maybe an arboretum or something like that. Any recommendations regarding the settings I used to capture the image? Thanks again.
